Muay Thai
Muay thai has a long history dating back almost two thousand years ago. Kings that once ruled Thailand made muay thai, then known as "Muay Boran" part of military training. As Lacrosse is our Canadian national sport, Thailand recognized muay thai as theirs. Muay thai is refered to as the science of eight limbs as the hands, elbows, shins and knees are all used extensively in this art. In the past decade, muay thai's popularity has grown in western society. Once seen only as a way of income, young Thais would compete while still going to school to support their families. We have come a long way and now practice this sport to build conditioning of the mind, body and soul. It can be seen as a martial art that will challenge any individual to bring out the best in one's work ethic, discipline, and focus.

BOXING
Boxing is a martial art and a combat sport in which two people, male or female, generally of similar weight, fight each other with their fists (with gloves on). Boxing is supervised by a referee and is typically engaged in during a series of one- to three-minute intervals called rounds. There are three ways to win. Victory is achieved if the opponent is knocked out and unable to get up before the referee counts to ten seconds (a Knockout, or KO) or if the opponent is deemed too injured to continue (a Technical Knockout, or TKO). If there is no stoppage of the fight before an agreed number of rounds, a winner is determined either by the referee's decision or by judges' scorecards.
