A long history dating back almost two thousand years. Kings that once ruled Thailand made Thai Boxing (or Muay Thai), part of military training. As Hockey is the Canadian national sport, Thailand recognized Muay Thai as theirs. Muay Thai is referred to as the science of eight limbs as the hands, elbows, shins and knees are all used extensively in this art. Modern-day Kick Boxing (K1) was developed as an introduction to Thai Boxing.
A martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling and ground fighting. It emphasizes taking an opponent to the ground and utilizing ground fighting techniques and submission holds. Achieving a dominant position on the ground is one of the characteristic of the BJJ style.

I started training at P4P in early 2015 for Muai Thai but since then we started circuit training, weight lifting and meal planning. The P4P instructors are professional, dedicated and most importantly enthusiastic!! I have been "Sweating with P4P" now since near the beginning of 2013 and have been extremely pleased with my improved level of health and fitness. I was fairly fit when I first came to P4P but felt "stalled" in my quest to take my fitness to the next level. The work-out routines that I have been doing on my own were no longer effective and I felt that I had stalled with regards to my weight-loss and fitness level. I was unsure of how to proceed with regards to the toning and sculpting of my body not to mention becoming bored with the exercises I had come up with on my own. P4P has solved all those dilemmas for me with knowledgeable instruction, introducing effective techniques and a personalized program designed specifically to suit my needs. It's a great relief to show up for my session knowing that the P4P instructors have already planned and effective workout for me and that they will keep tabs on my progress so my work out sessions will continue to be effective. I have chosen to do a work-out session that involves half strength-training and half boxing. I find the boxing, not only a lot of fun, but very physically and mentally challenging. It is an intense cardio work-out that still has my gasping for breath most times! The P4P instructors change up my personal training sessions to keep things interesting, keep my body guessing and to ensure I don't get bored. I am no longer stalled in my fitness goals and have definitely noticed an increase in the toning of my body, my fitness abilities and have dropped a few of those stubborn pounds! The P4P instructors have taught me the proper way to work out and strength train so I am confident I am doing my works out properly and effectively when I'm forced to work out on my own at home. Awesome gym hands down the best one around. The classes are amazing they keep you learning and push you to your limit. The facility is great there are areas for weight-lifting, boxing bags, a bjj room, & even a ring. The staff is very motivational & friendly they make you feel right at home. This place is great for anyone of all levels from beginner to experienced fighters. Give this place a chance I guarantee that you will not regret it.
All my life I have worked out the way most people have by running on the treadmill and lifting weights. I never knew what a real workout was until I came to P4P morning fitness classes. 2 minutes doesn't sound like a long time but you don't realize how long it is until you do 2 minutes on the heavy bag or jumping rope or weight lifting. You cover it all: cardio, strength, balance, hand eye coordination and improving your core muscles and breathing. This is the toughest and the best work out I have ever done in my life and the results are certainly starting to come in! I have only been attending the classes for approximately 8 weeks now and I have noticed an overall improvement in my energy level, endurance and strength. Even after two days I am still feeling it in my muscles which is a great motivating feeling. P4P gives great instructions and makes the gym a place you want to come to. I do not dread going to P4P like I did other gyms. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is fun and very encouraging. Knowing nothing about MMA or boxing/kickboxing when I first started, P4P has made me feel comfortable, confident and motivated. They are very personable and supportive towards everyone's individual needs. There is never a dull workout, which makes you want to keep coming back for more. I recommend P4P morning fitness at P4P to everyone! As a nurse I believe that your most important asset in life is your health.
