Understanding the need for this, P4P offers a fusion of Muay Thai and Jiu-jitsu as opposed to “karate” or “taekwondo”, which is commonly available today. Learn traditional techniques that have been used by the best Muay Thai, Boxing and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu warriors throughout the world! Whatever your skill level is there is a place for you at P4P!

Markham and Pickering service the vastly growing York Region and Durham communities. We will offer group and individual classes in the art of Muay Thai, Boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. As well as Strength & Conditioning and Kettle Bell exercise Classes.

THAI BOXING / MUAY THAI

A long history dating back almost two thousand years. Kings that once ruled Thailand made Thai Boxing (or Muay Thai), part of military training. As Hockey is the Canadian national sport, Thailand recognized Muay Thai as theirs. Muay Thai is referred to as the science of eight limbs as the hands, elbows, shins and knees are all used extensively in this art. Modern-day Kick Boxing (K1) was developed as an introduction to Thai Boxing.

BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU

A martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling and ground fighting. It emphasizes taking an opponent to the ground and utilizing ground fighting techniques and submission holds. Achieving a dominant position on the ground is one of the characteristic of the BJJ style.

COMPETITIVE BOXING

Boxing remains one of the most practical ways to learn self defense and get in great shape. Evan as amateurs, boxing students will have improved confidence and lose weight quickly. Boxing pad work is a great way to stay fit and improve hang and eye coordination.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

Promotes broad and general overall physical fitness by combining weightlifting, sprinting, and gymnastics. Increase your muscle endurance, enhance your strength, and take your cardio abilities to the next level.

BOOT CAMP IN THE MORNINGS

Slim down fast. With short but intense cardio intervals, full body strength moves, and an extra dose of ab work, you’ll slim down your entire body and tighten your mid section.

KETTLE BELL WORKOUT

Total Body Toning With Kettle bells. Drop the dumbbells and burn calories and fat with kettle bells. Researchers found that people who did 20-minute kettle bell workouts torched almost 300 calories and that’s just for starters.

I have been training here since they opened. Kru Saji and Kru Ritch are great coaches who will help push you past your limits to achieve your fitness or fighting goals. Their students have been transformed into elite athletes who also help train new students with the same intensity and determination.

I can't imagine NOT waking up for my class at Pound 4 Pound  

I didn't make it through my first fitness class at P4P. Out of shape, asthmatic, and generally ill, I was the worst case scenario for a trainer. Fast forward and not only do I make it through my sessions, but I haven't used my inhaler in weeks. I feel better, stronger, and sleep better! Even in a "group" setting, P4P makes me feel like I have my own personal trainer. They tailor the workout to my abilities, but still push me beyond what I thought I could do. My class is at 6:30am, a time when most people are just waking up; however the motivation to get out of bed comes from knowing that I'm heading to session that is worth waking up for. Now I can't imagine NOT waking up for my class.

The P4P instructors are professional, dedicated and most importantly enthusiastic!!  

I started training at P4P in early 2015 for Muai Thai but since then we started circuit training, weight lifting and meal planning. The P4P instructors are professional, dedicated and most importantly enthusiastic!! They show a lot of knowledge and experience for their craft with every session and push you past your personal barriers. I would absolutely recommend P4P in a heartbeat.

In my first month since joining P4P back on December 1st 2016, I have already lost 10lbs. The classes are awesome and have surpassed my expectations so far. The training staff are great, always providing feedback and areas of improvement. The overall gym atmosphere is positive where you feel welcome regardless of skill level.
