I have been a client of P4P since January 2014. Since starting with P4P, I have gained strength and improved my posture, while also losing over 15 pounds and 4 inches around my waist. I have been very impressed with the P4P instructors passion to help their clients, their knowledge, and ability to connect. I have found them to be very attentive to my fitness needs, what my limits are, and how far they can push me. They encourage me and motivates me to do better, and yet they know how much I am capable of.
My wife and I started training with P4P in September 2012. I am over 50 and was never serious on working out (actually, I never worked out). My wife tried different programs with various degrees of results. During our first discussions at P4P, They made us feel that we can start, and improve our physical fitness. For me, I did not want to feel intimidated by my lack of physical ability at a large fitness centre. When we work out at P4P we feel none of that intimidation because everyone that goes there has the same focus to be fit. From the very first time we met the P4P instructors, they always made us feel that one step at a time, our physical health would improve. And so it has. P4P has helped me strengthen specific areas (ie: lower back) that used to give me pain, and now that pain does not exist!! My wife an I are extremely happy with his help and expertise. We would highly recommend P4P to anyone interested in improving their physical health, no matter what age!!
I have been training at Pound 4 Pound MMA, Pickering since 2015. During this period I have been impressed not only with the quality of the instruction from the trainers but also the friendly atmosphere. The staff and trainers not only took the time to get to know me but to also understand my motivation for training. I have utilized both classes and Personal Trainers for Muay Thai and have participated in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes.
As a Veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces I have trained in several styles of Jiu-Jitsu in different parts of Ontario. Of all the Dojos I have been to P4P MMA is by far the best training club which I have experienced as there is no EGO and everyone pushes each other to do their best. At events the true comradeship is apparent as we support our fighters.
I have encourage anyone who is interested in training to try P4P MMA – I am sure you will be pleased with the outcome.
This is an incredible gym, a must try for people that want to get involved in MMA.
I didn't make it through my first fitness class at P4P. Out of shape, asthmatic, and generally ill, I was the worst case scenario for a trainer. Fast forward and not only do I make it through my sessions, but I haven't used my inhaler in weeks. I feel better, stronger, and sleep better! Even in a "group" setting, P4P makes me feel like I have my own personal trainer. They tailor the workout to my abilities, but still push me beyond what I thought I could do. My class is at 6:30am, a time when most people are just waking up; however the motivation to get out of bed comes from knowing that I'm heading to session that is worth waking up for. Now I can't imagine NOT waking up for my class.
