At Pound 4 Pound MMA, we are very serious about our training methodology. Core fundamentals and proper technique are instilled and practiced thoroughly in order to provide students with a solid grasp of the material so that it can be used at high functionality in realistic situations. Proper postures and positioning are developed early in the students training, which cultivates a smooth transition game and prepares students for more advanced material. Techniques and principles are taught in a conceptual format, so that they can be grasped easier and made specific as students become more comfortable with the material.

I started training at P4P in early 2015 for Muai Thai but since then we started circuit training, weight lifting and meal planning. The P4P instructors are professional, dedicated and most importantly enthusiastic!! They show a lot of knowledge and experience for their craft with every session and push you past your personal barriers. I would absolutely recommend P4P in a heartbeat.
I brought my 12 year old son, Connor, to P4P to improve his fighting skills. I am very impressed with the P4P instructors. They give the training session their full attention and spend the session working on all aspects of the game. Connor's session with the P4P instructors not only involves strength training, conditioning and technique, but he receives many fighting tips that only a professional fighter could offer. The P4P instructors have a gift for working with kids and youth; they read the kids well, quickly determining their strengths and weaknesses. They don't coddle Connor but challenges him to put out the best effort possible. My son enjoys working with the P4P instructors and he has definitely grown in skill level, physical fitness, temperament and confidence. Whether you want better fitness or technique for you child, or even increased confidence and self-esteem, training with P4P is they way to go.
The time I spent working with the P4P instructors was probably the most productive I've been during 15 years of passive training in different disciplines. Being one on one allowed me to ask questions that I never felt comfortable asking in group settings. This allowed my knowledge of boxing, conditioning, and nutrition to expand exponentially. I have been looking for the past 6 years for a great MMA gym since my old gym closed down, I have been practicing martial arts since 1995.
Pound 4 Pound is better than anything I have experienced. Everyone is super friendly and down to earth, most importantly everyone training at the gym is serious about it. You do not see any slackers or people that would rather be somewhere else, everyone is really dedicated.
The instructors are absolutely amazing and not only teach you how to preform a certain technique but why and when it is useful! I recently tried a BJJ class for my first time and the sensei pulled me aside and taught me the basic body movements. He explained these moves are the building blocks of BJJ and after a couple weeks I may have the opportunity to join in with the rest of the class. This is a prime example of what this gym is about; they want you to succeed. Having said that are always competitions and fighters from P4P traveling across north America competing and doing great! Really inspiring!
I have been a client of P4P for over a year now. Not only do I meet with the P4P instructors for one on one sessions I also take part of his weekly fitness classes. Since starting with P4P, I have lost over 60 pounds and and seen a significant increase in my strength and endurance. Every time I meet with the P4P instructors they challenge me to push myself harder and because of this I able to meet goals I never thought possible. I am lucky to be able to work with the P4P instructors and am truly grateful they are a part of my weight loss journey.
