I didn't make it through my first fitness class at P4P. Out of shape, asthmatic, and generally ill, I was the worst case scenario for a trainer. Fast forward and not only do I make it through my sessions, but I haven't used my inhaler in weeks. I feel better, stronger, and sleep better! Even in a "group" setting, P4P makes me feel like I have my own personal trainer. They tailor the workout to my abilities, but still push me beyond what I thought I could do. My class is at 6:30am, a time when most people are just waking up; however the motivation to get out of bed comes from knowing that I'm heading to session that is worth waking up for. Now I can't imagine NOT waking up for my class.
I have been looking for the past 6 years for a great MMA gym since my old gym closed down, I have been practicing martial arts since 1995.
Pound 4 Pound is better than anything I have experienced. Everyone is super friendly and down to earth, most importantly everyone training at the gym is serious about it. You do not see any slackers or people that would rather be somewhere else, everyone is really dedicated.
The instructors are absolutely amazing and not only teach you how to preform a certain technique but why and when it is useful! I recently tried a BJJ class for my first time and the sensei pulled me aside and taught me the basic body movements. He explained these moves are the building blocks of BJJ and after a couple weeks I may have the opportunity to join in with the rest of the class. This is a prime example of what this gym is about; they want you to succeed. Having said that are always competitions and fighters from P4P traveling across north America competing and doing great! Really inspiring!
I joined P4P on a recommendation from a friend and couldn't be happier with my decision The facility is great and the coaching staff are amazing. Whether you are training to fight or training for fitness, the instructors/coaches will work on your level. It's a very friendly environment and everyone is willing to help you out if you are having difficulty. They also have classes during the day, which a lot of other gyms don't. Enough old things can't be said about this gym! If you are looking to join a gym, look no further than P4P.
P4P is the best mma gym in the region! No matter what your skill level or age is P4P is right for you! Their trained instructors help you from the very basics right up to fighting. Everyone is so kind there and there are a ton of women who go too!! I’ve lost a total of 65lbs since starting there back in December!
In my first month since joining P4P back on December 1st 2016, I have already lost 10lbs. The classes are awesome and have surpassed my expectations so far. The training staff are great, always providing feedback and areas of improvement. The overall gym atmosphere is positive where you feel welcome regardless of skill level.
